Tracey and I returned from a lovely break in The Netherlands on Sunday evening. We marvelled at the remarkable cycle friendly cities we visited, enjoyed the cleaner air and felt sad at the UK’s failures in this area. I will be adding my voice to those demanding better.
We also visited our great friend and Co-author on Ebola : Behind the Mask – Anna Simon. Delivering a consignment of our book to the Roelants Bookshop in Nijmegen was particularly satisfying.
After returning home there was no time to waste as I had a presentation planned for yesterday lunchtime. A very big thank you to the lovely Amy Holgate who accompanied me to Wakefield to speak to the international meeting of the Wakefield Inner Wheel Club.
We had an absolutely wonderful afternoon among friendly and kind ladies who were extremely interested in Médecins Sans Frontières.
May I thank them all for their generosity, a total of £228.25 was donated which will be sent to MSF today.
