THE Sale – Update & Total

A grim day weather wise was brightened by kindness and generosity.

On Saturday 9th the Sale at St Andrews Church Hall was a resounding success. As the rain poured down the punters rolled in and bought bargains galore. Some lovely vintage items were sold including a typewriter that belonged to my Gran and was donated by my dear Mum & Dad.

Tracey and I would like to thank everyone who made the sale happen. First of all we are indebted to Francis and Kathryn of St Andrews Church Starbeck for the use of the Hall and the help organising the event.  I have said this a lot recently but some truths need repeating – I have the most wonderful family and friends. The team who set up the night before (top left photo) were amazing. The lovely people who came on the day and ran stalls, handed out leaflets near the cold entrance (sorry Kate) and stood out in the cats and dogs with the Sale sign. Si, Ralph, Andy and Marcus.

We would have been selling air if the kind donations hadn’t flooded in. Thank you to everyone who gave items for the sale. We have quite a lot left over. My friend Kerry took some clothes to the Harrogate Homeless Project, some things went to the charity shops in Starbeck but we have enough for another sale. Watch this space for details.

So here it is:

YOU gave …….. £1,370:30 a remarkable total.

Thank you all.
