Here we go again! My bonkers yet wonderful friend Andy Masters is running V2 of his 24 hour ‘gameathon’ for Doctors Without Borders. In August 2020 Harrogate Hospital nurse Andy carried out his first 24 hour gaming challenge. This effort raised over £1000 for MSF (and aged him 5 years). Andy has very kindly decided that he will endure this once again in February 22. Please see his message below and support both Andy in his challenge and ultimately the work of Doctors Without Borders globally.
From Andy:
Hi all,
I’m once again asking for your help to raise some money for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) (Doctors Without Borders).
I’m embarking on another 24 hour Gameathon!
I’ve been building up my hand coordination and muscle strength and toughening up my bottom in preparation for 24 hours of gaming!
This time I think any money we can raise is even more important as since I did it last time, the pandemic has continued around the world, Afghanistan has collapsed, Government assistance has been reduced and people who normally raise money regularly for charity are having less opportunities to do so due to the current restrictions.
Last time you all raised £1049!! It would be amazing if we could get anywhere near that amount again.
I’ll be starting at 10am on Saturday 5th February and it will all be Live Streamed on Twitch and YouTube.
