Thank you to everyone who made yesterdays sale at Pateley Bridge a massive success. Tracey ran this one and did a great job of organising it. As always an amazing bunch of people came together to make it happen. This one was extraordinary in that we asked the team to travel from Harrogate and very early too. We met at 0630 in and travelled to Pateley to set up. We met the lovely Constance Hutchin at St Cuthbert’s and immediately started setting up. Darryl Hall the vicar came to see us which was very kind as he had a very busy day planned.
We were scheduled to open at 1100 but people began drifting in from 1030.
After much flogging of bargains, tea & coffee, cake, candles we started to pack away about 1545. We had lots of things left and limited options when it came to transporting them home or storing them. In the end AGE UK in Pateley received some lovely items as did the Harrogate Homeless Project.
Thank you again to our fabulous team for making this sale possible and for helping Médecins Sans Frontières. YOU raised the fantastic sum of £1072.08p which will be sent to Doctors Without Borders tomorrow.
There are so many people to thank for making this happen, I will just say a global thank you to you all from Tracey and I. You are magnificent. I have said it before and Ill say it again, We have the best of friends both old and new.
