A great walk today. Back in the forest and we flew through 29km.

The most lovely moment today was passing through Bailly and a man on a bike stopped and gave Sara a bottle of Lipton’s ice tea. He was just being kind as it was hot and she must have looked thirsty.

We passed through quiet villages in a state of apparent madness singing Christmas carols. Mad dogs and English men!

We arrived in Compiegne about 1730 and were in a great Lebanese place for 1900 . Hummus, foul, falafel etc hit the spot. All washed down with some nice wine. Eeeee it’s tough this walking lark.

Day off tomorrow then 3 days and we are in Paris. Sara has then achieved her amazing goal. I will have completed phase 1 of mine . On to Geneva alone for me next. That will take some getting used to I know. She has been incredible both in her determination and her commitment.
