I am just returning from the Victoria Theatre Halifax having spent the evening fundraising for MSF.
Alongside my friends Barbara and Alan, I greeted people as they arrived and offered them the chance to donate. Many did and the total raised will be added to my fundraising total in the next day or two. Suffice to say , people were extremely generous.
Simon was kind enough to announce our presence at the beginning of his fantastic talk. This galvanised donations at the interval and also pushed the name Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders into people’s minds. This ‘brand recognition’ is really important.
Massive thanks from me to Barbara, Alan, Catherine and of course Simon. I should also thank Gareth, Simon’s manager for his on going support and assistance. A fantastic group of people.
