Montbard to Marigny le Cahouet

It’s been a wet un today.

I left Flore’s lovely B&B at 0900 this morning and it started raining soon after. This isn’t a problem really as my kit is all good and I just carried on as planned.

I continued south east along the canal de Bourgogne. I leave it tomorrow this time for good as I head towards Geneva and the canal goes due south.

I sang along to Dent May and his magnificent ukulele as I pressed on in the rain. I stopped briefly to admire a nice ass (see photo).

I am now in a B&B at lock 26 on the canal. I am going for a drink in the bar soon and will be taking my book and some maps (not that I think I’ll get lost going to the bar, the maps are for on going route planning).

I have a long walk tomorrow to get to a place called Sombernon but am having a rest day here Thursday. This will be nice as I’m camping for 2 nights after this and with the now damp weather it may be a little less pleasant.
