I am absolutely thrilled to announce that international safety company ANSELL are our stage 1 sponsors on Ride to the Rock – Amsterdam to Geneva.
One way or another I have been involved with ANSELL since 2014 when the then Hull based company Microgard supplied PPE that kept us safe in the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
Microgard were taken over by ANSELL in 2015 . Later in ’15 I approached them and asked if they would consider supporting our Trans-USA bike ride the following year.
Since these early days I have been to Hull a number of times and have given presentations to the team at the ANSELL office as well as at the Centre for Digital Innovation (C4DI). I have also presented to the HQ team in Brussels.
In 2019 the guys in Hull carried out an amazing fundraiser for MSF. They hired a bunch of static bikes and cycled the equivalent distance from Freetown to Kailahun (where I was based in the Ebola outbreak). They raised £2400 for MSF that day.
Forward to this year and I approached ANSELL once again regarding support for our Ride to the Rock challenge. They very quickly stepped up as sponsors of our first stage from Amsterdam to Geneva – now the ANSELL stage.
Tracey and I honoured to have ANSELL as partners. We would like to personally thank Vice President & General Manager of Chemical Solutions Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Paul Bryce whose support and friendship has been key at every stage.
