It has been a long day today – 24 miles. Hot Hot Hot as you can see above. Thats Sara zooming along the canal side into Antwerp.
We left the lovely De Venhoef B and B in Hoogstraten at 0700. Within 30 mins a man passing by stopped and gave us a 2 L bottle of water after seeing the bag with Amsterdam to Barcelona on it. A lovely gesture and typical of the kindness we have been shown.
We were joined by a facination gentleman called Robert after a while. He lectures on business and personal improvement strategies and was a charming and helpful companion.
The canal walk lasted about 5 hours with the whole actual walking time at 7.5 hrs.
We arrived in Antwerp and found a place to stay, from here it was straight to an Indian place for some great food plus Belgian Beer.
Sorry its not such a great blog entry tonight folks? Im worn out and this is some mad kind of non-Qwerty keyboard thats killing me.
