Ham to Noyon

This may not be the most spectacular photo I will upload. It does however demonstrate very clearly the terrain we have passed through all day today.

Mile upon mile of farm land, open, no hedges or dry stone Walls like Yorkshire. I have to say I prefer the variety of the Dales to the huge open tracts of cultivated land here.

I foolishly added about 3 km to the walk by missing an unsurfaced track off a fork in the road. I was seething about it all day (as I can).

We made it to Noyon about 1800 and are now relaxing at the hotel. No camping now till I’m on my own after Paris. I will then be either on sites or in woods as much as possible to keep the costs down .

Can I say a massive thank you to every one of you following the walk. It means everything to me that both Sara and I are not forgotten. I also want to thank people for their continued fundraising I can see the total rising and it cheers me immensely. I am a lucky man, I know some great people. I have also had many donations on the site from people I have never met. Quite simply they care about the work MSF do and want to help. You are amazing. Thank you.
