Please take a look at this message from my friend Andy Masters. Andy is planning a frankly ludicrous fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders that is very much worthy of support. There will be more information about a donation site for this event nearer the time. For now, just think – 24 hours of gaming – thats got to be worth a few quid! :
“I need your support and more importantly some of your cash! I am raising money for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). This amazing organisation works worldwide to provide healthcare to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.
I wanted to do a fundraising challenge that would fit with my particular skill set, I’m not a runner, cyclist or swimmer. The idea I came up with is to do a 24 hour gaming session. This is going to be on Saturday 1st August from 8am. I will be live streaming the event onto Facebook, YouTube and Twitch. I would love it if anyone could spare some time to watch me, encourage me (or take the piss) with some comments and even better donate whatever you can.
Over the next 2 weeks I will be posting more about the event, the games I’m going to be playing and more information about Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)”.
