Today has been about 2 very special people. This morning I went to the Fosse Dionne. This is natural spring in the centre of Tonnerre. The horseshoe shaped wall around the spring frames it’s turquoise waters beautifully. I was admiring this scene when I was joined by a gent with a walking staff and a back pack.

Kris is walking the Santiago de Compostela pilgrim route from Belgium to Spain. He is sleeping in the woods with just a sleeping bag and a poncho. To say I was impressed by this young mans faith in the world would be a huge understatement. He has had a very personal and profound effect on me. Kris I will not betray our conversation let me just say I hope you find what was taken 4 years ago. I think you will.

The second person is Caroline whose B&B I have been lucky enough to stay in. This hard working lady has created an amazing and unique place to stay. She took time out from her very busy day (she is doing all of the work herself) to phone ahead and arrange my accommodation for the next week. She then sorted out my dinner and showed me around the rest of the property. Thank you Caroline for your help and kindness as well as a fantastically restful stay.

It’s all about the people.
