Well, what to say, Burlesque Without Borders No 7 was remarkable. It was a success in every way. The audience as always made the night. A rowdy rabble at the best of times they were enthusiastic, supportive, good humoured and extremely generous.
I began the night with a short presentation about MSF and of course a mention of the Alzheimer’s Society, the joint beneficiary of the nights fundraising. During this talk I asked the audience to consider making a donation by text to get the night off to a good start. £220 was donated in about 2 minutes – what a crowd!
Snappy O’Shea then took over and ran the night like a dream. She introduced our band the Leeds City Stompers who went down a storm and had people up and dancing right from the start.
The rest of the night was one wonderful Burlesque performer after another. I can’t review each performance, but I can say that each one of the artists has further cemented Burlesque Without Borders reputation as the BEST Burlesque night in the region (at least).
The very least I can do is offer my thanks tho the performers for everything they have done for MSF and the Alzheimer’s Society, these lovely people were :
Adrian Salamon – Magician
Eliza Beau
Poppy Pout
Hazarah
Sir Midnight Blues
Snow de la Flake
The Honey B’s
You were all amazing. Thank you.
I want to pass on my thanks to a few other very important people before announcing the total raised.
Without the following the night simply doesn’t happen. They also need a mention to illustrate what goes into making the magic of Burlesque Without Borders so thank you to:
Pete McGeever – Audio visuals
Sara and Amanda – the best Cupcakes in the land
Greg, Claire and the Spa Town Roller Girls who flogged raffle tickets like demons

Biggest thanks as ever to Lily la Belle who spends literally months sorting the night. It is a huge amount of work but she makes it happen every time. a lot of people have benefitted from Burlesque Without Borders takings and you can be very proud of this Lily – Thank you.
