After breakfast this morning we shot across town to the MSF office to meet 2 very lovely people. I would like to thank Fabienne de Leval and Antoine Bogaerts of MSF Belgium for making us feel so welcome. I know they are both very busy people and so it is extra special that they took time out to hear about the walk and to wish us luck on the journey to come.

Much of the rest of the day was house keeping – washing etc and planning the walk to Mons. We are wild camping the next 2 days as there is no accomodation coming up on searches. If we meet someone who will let us stay – wonderful. Robert, the Gent we walked with into Antwert strongly suggested telling our storiy in Cafés as he thinks people will help. I will try Robert, your advice is not forgotten.

Evening we went back to the centre I wanted to see the Manneken Pis – a fine statue of a urinating child – whatever gets you through the night! It is a well kniown sight and I definately wanted to see it before we leave tomorrow.

After this I purchased Betadine to use on the 2″ blister on my left heel. It is sore but once dressed I can walk on it.

So that is Brussels for now. a good rest and the second MSF section visited. 3 Sections and many miles on the road to go.
