We left our woodland camp at about 0700. We were forced to walk on the main road for the first few km due to a map overlap problem.
We soon turned off the main road and onto quiet country lanes. These were really beautiful. We called at a village pub for a drink before pressing on to Mons.
Shoulder aches for Sara and my blistered heels made the last bit of the day slightly grim. The sight of the hotel soon cheered us and a pizza, wine & beer – ordered in pigeon French did the rest. All is good again.
Clothes washing, dressing purchase and relaxing are on the cards for tomorrow.
