I am sorry that it has taken me a few days to get chance to post about a wonderful Sunday just gone.
The long day of fundraising began with relaxation among great friends while listening to the fantastic Christmas set by DJ Scooby at Major Toms. From 1300-1700 festive tunes filled the air punctuated with the odd Rock n Roll or Big Band Classic. Always a lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon. The MSF tombola did well as always.
At 1700 we went over the road to the Ivory where Burly Bachata Bonanza was just starting. Between then and 2200 we watched some wonderful burlesque performances from:
Mrs No Overall
Hot Milk
Penny Rocket
Eve Addiction
Fantasia fortune
Aurora nova
Gydaaa!
This was Interspersed with Bachata classes by Mr Ami Emirato a highly respected performer and teacher of this very sexy dance. I stood at the side watching!
All of this was organised by my great friend Rachel Burrows. I would like to thank Rschel and all of the performers and others who made this night happen. It was a superb event at a perfect venue and I am most chuffed to report that it raised a whopping £500 for Doctors Without Borders.
An amazing result and a fabulous day..
Thank you all.
